Getting a Visa
Australia operates a universal visa system—all visitors must hold a valid visa before travelling, except:
• New Zealand passport holders, who are usually granted a Special Category visa on arrival, subject to health and character checks.
• Permanent residents of Norfolk Island, who may be granted a Permanent Resident of Norfolk Island visa on arrival.

Additional Information
Letter of Invitation (International delegates)
A letter of invitation is not required for your visa application. In most cases, your registration confirmation and tax invoice (showing payment of registration and accommodation) will be sufficient. If additional documentation is needed for your visa or travel process, the Organising Committee can issue an invitation letter after registration fees are paid.

• It does not imply financial support from the Organising Committee.

If you are applying for a visa, we strongly recommend lodging your application at least 6–8 weeks before your intended travel date. Please note:
• All travellers to Australia must hold a valid visa before boarding.
• Visas cannot be obtained on arrival.

Australia’s Biosecurity Requirements/ Quarantine/Customs
Australia has strict biosecurity laws to protect its agriculture, environment, and public health. Live animals, plants, plant material, animal products, and certain foods can carry harmful pests and diseases and must be declared.Before arrival, you’ll receive an Incoming Passenger Card. You must tick YES if you’re carrying any items that may pose a biosecurity risk. Declared goods may be inspected by a biosecurity officer. Providing false or misleading information is a serious offence.

Arrival to Perth
By car Perth Airport is a 25 minute drive to the city centre. Perth city is also directly connected to the airport by a new railway link. With a travel time of 18 minutes, the Perth Airport train link operates every 12 minutes in peak, every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night at an affordable rate of EUR 3 (AU$5.10)
