About CSNSW

The DISruptABILITY Conference is hosted by Catholic Schools NSW.

Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) is the peak body for Catholic schools in NSW. While the primary object of CSNSW is to assist Catholic school authorities and schools in their provision of quality Catholic schooling, CSNSW also takes a leadership role coordinating and representing Catholic education at a state and national level. CSNSW is the representative voice of NSW Catholic education and their owners at a state and national level. The role of CSNSW is to ensure the interests of Catholic schools are protected and promoted in forums where education policy is formed, and resource allocation is determined.

Since its inception, the mission of Catholic education has been to serve students from a range of backgrounds, with a particular responsibility for those disadvantaged and marginalised. As part of their educational and pastoral mission, Catholic schools in NSW have been educating students with disabilities since the 1870s. Building on this long tradition, Catholic schools are committed to expanding educational access for students with disability with the number of students with disabilities in Catholic schools growing significantly over time.
