Payments

Please note all online registrations require immediate payment by credit card. Accepted credit cards: MasterCard, Visa and American Express. All transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘EECW’.

If you are unable to pay by credit card please contact the Symposium Secretariat aencanta@encanta.com.au.

Cancellations

All cancellations and amendments must be sent in writing via email to the Symposium Secretariat, Encanta Event Management.

Cancellations received up to and including 5.00pm AEDT Tuesday 15 June 2021 will receive a full refund, less a $150.00 administration fee.

Cancellations received between 5.01pm AEDT Tuesday 15 June 2021 and 11.59pm AEDT Tuesday 29 June 2021 will receive a 50% refund.

No refunds will be given for cancellations received after 11.59pm AEDT Tuesday 29 June 2021.

As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without penalty.

COVID-19 Specific Frequently Asked Questions

I am registered as an in-person delegate and the area I am in goes into lockdown due to government restrictions around COVID-19?

If your area is in lockdown (based on your registered address) and you are not permitted to travel due to restrictions around COVID-19, providing the event is proceeding in person, your registration will be converted to a virtual registration.

Please note if you are no longer wanting to travel to the Symposium and there are no restrictions in place to prevent you from travelling, your in-person registration can be converted to a virtual registration, if you change your mind and do not wish to participate our standard cancellation terms apply.

No refunds will be provided for any cancelled accommodation, airfares or other related expenses for your travel to the event, we suggest you book flexible travel and accommodation options.

What happens if the in-person event is unable to proceed due to government restrictions around COVID-19?

As the 2021 Winter Symposium will be a hybrid event, we can convert the Symposium to a virtual event. 

What if I am exposed to COVID-19 and placed in quarantine?

The safety of our delegates is of the utmost importance, therefore if you have been potentially exposed to COVID-19 and placed in quarantine, your registration will be converted to a virtual registration.

I have flu like symptoms, can I get a refund?

If you have flu/COVID like symptoms, please get tested and do not attend the event. Your registration will be converted to a virtual/on demand attendee. 

Conditions

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and Encanta Event Management reserve the right to deny entry and/or terminate the registration of any person who demonstrates behaviour that is deemed to be inappropriate and/or a risk to others.

Registrations received by Encanta Event Management will not be considered as confirmed unless payment has been received and processed. Non-payment or non-attendance will be taken as a cancellation on the day of the event and will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Disclaimer

The Organising Committee and the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) reserve the right to change the program and social functions at any time without notice. Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. Participants are advised to take out personal insurance, including cover for travel, accommodation and personal possessions. Neither the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) nor Encanta Event Management covers individuals against the cancellations of bookings for any reason including cancellation or postponement of the Symposium or for theft or damage to belongings.

Liability

The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and Encanta Event Management will not accept any responsibility for any financial or other losses incurred by delegates in the course of the event. Nor will the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) and Encanta Event Management take responsibility for injury or damage to persons or property occurring during the Symposium or associated activities.

Insurance is the responsibility of the individual delegate.

Photography

While attending the Symposium you may be photographed. By registering for the Symposium, you agree to these photographs being used for promotional purposes.

Privacy

During the process of registration, Encanta Event Management will gather and record personal information necessary for your attendance. All personal information is gathered, stored and disseminated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.
