Following a year of review and a competition to rename ACCCN's flagship national event, we are pleased to announce ACCCN's Annual Education Meeting (AEM), formerly known as the ICE Conference, is to be held at the QT Hotel in Canberra and online, 13 and 14 May 2021.
The theme of the AEM 2021 focuses on responsiveness to local issues impacting critical care in this time of great change. The program will include adult and paediatric topics of interest to regional and metropolitan ICUs and combined ICU/CCUs. The demands placed on us as critical care nurses in 2020 have been extraordinary, so in acknowledgement of this, health and wellbeing considerations will complement our clinically-focused education program. Sustainability of the critical care workforce has garnered increasing attention this past year and the 2021 program will incorporate workshops with strategies to enhance mindfulness, wellbeing and resilience.
Work has been progressing behind the scenes as we develop the program and have secured a great speaker line up to date. We would love your participation and are seeking abstracts from clinicians about local projects that have made a difference in 2020. The call for abstracts was recently launched and submissions will be accepted in two categories. See below for more information and the link for submissions.
Now is the time for us, more than ever, to connect and share.
We look forward to welcoming you to Canberra in May 2021!
